From Brake Lines to Boardrooms: Paramjit Chadha Steers into the Driver’s Seat at ZF CVCS India

Chennai — In the high-stakes world of commercial vehicle control systems, there’s a new captain at the wheel — and he’s no stranger to rolling up his sleeves and getting under the hood. ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems India Ltd has officially welcomed Paramjit Singh Chadha as its new Managing Director, revving up for what promises to be a high-performance innings.

With nearly four decades of experience in the automotive industry, Paramjit is a veteran whose résumé reads like a road map of India’s braking evolution — from Maruti Suzuki to Bosch, Continental, Knorr-Bremse, and pit stops at Kalyani Brakes and the ADM Group. If it had wheels and a brake pedal, chances are Paramjit had a hand in making it stop safely.

But don’t let the calm exterior fool you — Chadha is as much about traction as he is about acceleration. A master of greenfield projects, ESG, manufacturing excellence, and digitalization, he’s known in industry circles as a rare blend of technical guru, team whisperer, and strategic Zen master.

In his new role, Paramjit replaces the formidable P Kaniappan, whose legacy at ZF is marked by precision, progress, and the occasional perfectly timed downshift. Paying tribute, Prof. Dr. Peter Laier, Member of the Board at ZF Group, said,

“P Kaniappan’s leadership, strategic vision, and commitment have been instrumental in establishing ZF’s strong foundation in India. I am delighted to welcome Paramjit, whose knowledge and proficiency will steer ZF into a bright future.”

Akash Passey, President, ZF Group India, added,

“We’re thrilled to have Paramjit behind the wheel. His deep roots in the automotive ecosystem will fuel the next chapter of growth for ZF CVCS India. And to Kaniappan — thank you for your incredible service and leaving us with a very smooth road to drive on.”

From building brake systems to building strong teams, Paramjit Singh Chadha brings horsepower, humility, and a hint of humour to his new role — and if his past is any indication, ZF India is about to shift gears and race ahead.

New MD, same ZF — just a little more turbocharged.
