Porsche Goes Full Noir: Taycan and Cayenne Black Editions Bring the Drama, the Power, and Just Enough Shine

Stuttgart – It’s official: Porsche has unleashed its inner goth — but make it luxury. The iconic brand has revealed the new Taycan and Cayenne Black Edition models, and they’re as stealthy, stylish, and spec-loaded as a Bond villain’s dream garage.

Unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, these special editions are anything but basic black. Sure, the black accents are present — and very much accounted for — but Porsche also gives you the freedom to dress your rebel in everything from Dolomite Silver Metallic to Carrara White, because being a dark knight doesn’t mean you can’t have options.

===
Black Is the New More
In both Taycan and Cayenne guises, the Black Editions flaunt high-gloss black mirror caps, Sport Design packages, brushed-black aluminium trims, and just enough attitude to make other cars on the autobahn blush. Even the Porsche logos are finished in black — because, clearly, subtle flexing is an art form.

The Taycan Black Edition gets even juicier: it comes standard with the Performance Battery Plus — a 105 kWh energy brick that boosts range to a whopping 668 km WLTP, 76 km more than your average Taycan. That’s 12% more driving — or in Porsche-speak, 12% more grinning.

===
Cayenne? More Like Blackenne
The Cayenne Black Edition arrives in both SUV and Coupé flavours, accessorized like it just walked out of a Stuttgart runway show. With tinted HD Matrix LED headlights, 21-inch wheels, and a BOSE® Surround Sound System featuring Dolby Atmos, it’s basically a high-performance sound studio on wheels — with lane change assist and a panoramic view of your own greatness.

===
Standard Features, Anything But Standard
Both models spoil you with enough standard kit to make Santa jealous:

  • 14-way Comfort Seats with Porsche crests
  • Surround View + Active Parking Assist
  • Storage packages for all your black leather-bound things
  • LED logo projectors (because arriving is an event)
  • Electric Sport Sound for Taycan (who said EVs can’t growl?)

There’s even an exclusive ‘Black Edition’ badge in the Taycan’s center console, in case your passengers forget how cool you are.

===
Black, But Make It Personal
Contrary to its name, the Black Edition isn’t married to monochrome. Porsche is graciously letting customers choose from a palette of pre-approved paints — and if that’s not enough, you can dive into Paint to Sample, Legends, Dreams, and Contrasts categories. Because apparently, Porsche’s paint department is now more diverse than a Netflix casting call.

Want matching Black Edition vehicle keys, custom door sill guards, or a leather-bound storage lid with your initials? Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur has your back (and your doors, and your floor mats).

===
So yes, the Taycan and Cayenne Black Editions are blacker, bolder, and better equipped than ever. But with more personalization options than a barista at a Berlin coffee shop, it’s clear that Porsche doesn’t just want to sell you a car — it wants to sell you your car.

Black Edition: Because elegance should never be loud. Except when it’s accelerating.
