New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki India Limited, the country’s largest carmaker and an undisputed driveway darling, hit a new gear in June 2025—selling a total of 167,993 units. That includes 121,339 units sold domestically, 8,812 units supplied to other OEMs (because sharing is caring), and a record-shattering 37,842 units exported, the highest ever for the company in a single month.
Yes, you read that right—Maruti didn’t just “Make in India”; it shipped out of India in style, with the global market revving up for some desi-engineered motoring magic.
While Indian roads continued to be graced by Alto, Baleno, Fronx and the ever-popular Brezza (now also moonlighting as a family picnic bench), it was the international demand that brought the fireworks this June. The export surge proves yet again that small is beautiful—and also quite ship-worthy.
With the festive season around the corner and newer models like the Swift 2025 already doing the rounds, Maruti seems geared for a high-octane H2. And if June is anything to go by, global roads better get ready—India’s compact champs are coming through, one container at a time.
