Tata Harrier.ev QWD Charges into Battle with 504 Nm Torque, 4 Motors, Priced at INR 28.99 lakh

Mumbai: In a move that might make mountain goats and performance SUVs equally nervous, Tata Motors today pulled the wraps off the prices of India’s most powerful homegrown electric SUV – the Harrier.ev Quad Wheel Drive (QWD). Starting at ₹28.99 Lakh, this dual-motor beast isn’t just another electric vehicle – it’s an electric declaration of dominance.

After shocking the RWD market with an enticing ₹21.49 Lakh starting tag, Tata now brings the real thunder—a Quad Wheel Drive variant that can out-climb, out-drag, and possibly outsmart most of its rivals. Powered by dual motors producing a combined 394 PS (yes, that’s nearly 400 horses from a “desi” stable) and a head-snapping 504 Nm of torque, the Harrier.ev QWD claims a 0-100 kmph sprint in just 6.3 seconds—not bad for something that also hauls eco-consciousness and a Bharat NCAP 5-star safety rating.

EV meets SUV meets OMG
The Harrier.ev QWD doesn’t just plug in – it plugs away at age-old myths: EVs can’t go off-road? Here’s 6 terrain modes and Off-Road Assist. EVs aren’t thrilling? Try the Boost Mode and a shot of 250 km range in just 15 minutes. EVs aren’t safe? It aced 32/32 AOP and 45/49 COP in Bharat NCAP, so buckle up for peace of mind.

Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., summed it up aptly:

“The Harrier.ev QWD deletes all excuses—range anxiety, off-road fear, safety concerns—gone. It’s a revolution on four (powered) wheels. And yes, the battery comes with a lifetime warranty. Not a typo.”

Bookings open 2nd July, so whether you’re a hill-hopping adventure buff, a torque junkie, or just someone who likes their driveway to radiate ‘EV envy,’ the Harrier.ev QWD is your electric calling card.

And for those wondering: yes, it still comfortably seats five. But now, it also comfortably outruns expectations.
