BharatBenz Brings the Muscle: New HX & Torqshift Trucks Ready to Crush Rocks, Deadlines, and Doubt

With HX and Torqshift beasts on steroids, BharatBenz powers into mining and construction like a wrecking ball in a tuxedo

Chennai – Move over bulldozers, there’s a new beast on the block—and it wears a BharatBenz badge. In a full-throttle bid to conquer India’s rapidly booming construction and mining sectors, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) today unveiled its all-new BharatBenz Construction and Mining Range, featuring the muscled-up HX series and tech-savvy Torqshift series.

With India’s construction and mining industry projected to jump from $16 billion to a rocky $45 billion by 2030*, BharatBenz isn’t just joining the party—it’s showing up with reinforced steel boots, predictive diagnostics, and a 9-cubic-meter concrete mixer.

“Many fleets today are older than the memes on WhatsApp. The industry needs uptime, grunt, and some German discipline,” quipped Satyakam Arya, MD & CEO of DICV, while introducing the new range that was torture-tested in the dust, sweat, and potholes of India’s toughest worksites.

💪 Built to Haul. Designed to Rule.

Whether you’re hauling concrete, crushing ore, or just trying to survive a monsoon construction deadline, the new HX and Torqshift trucks are loaded with features that sound like they came from a sci-fi film—but work like a dream on boulders.

Meet the Heavy Hitters:

  • HX 2828C / 3532C – With up to 320 hp and 1250 Nm torque, these are the protein shakes of the construction truck world. They can climb gradients up to 60% (which is basically vertical by truck standards) and still look cool doing it.
  • Torqshift 2832CM / 3532CM – Featuring globally-proven Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) for those who like their shifting seamless and their drivers not cranky.
  • 2828C RMC Variant – Hauls 9 cubic meters of concrete with a beastly OM926 engine. Basically, it’s the gym bro who mixes protein powder while benching 300kg.

“We didn’t just design trucks, we engineered solutions to tantrums thrown by mining sites and budget-conscious fleet managers,” said Pradeep Kumar Thimmaiyan, DICV’s CTO.

🛠 Tech & Torque with a Touch of TLC

The new BharatBenz range isn’t just brawn—it’s got brains too:

  • Driver State Monitoring – Because your driver shouldn’t nap while climbing a 50% gradient.
  • Hill Hold Assist – Prevents trucks from auditioning for accidental stunt scenes.
  • Reverse Cameras & Diff Locks – Helping drivers avoid surprises, boulders, and bosses.

“Modern contractors want maximum uptime and zero drama. That’s what this range delivers,” noted Rajiv Chaturvedi, President & CBO.

🧰 Service Like a Pit Stop. Uptime Like a Swiss Watch.

With 385 touchpoints and 15,000-hour AMC contracts, BharatBenz isn’t just selling trucks—it’s promising they stay alive and kicking. Throw in predictive diagnostics, real-time analytics, and enough tech jargon to make an IT engineer nod approvingly, and you’ve got a recipe for minimal downtime and maximum delivery.

🚧 BharatBenz: Your Partner in Potholes and Progress

As India lays more roads, bridges, and metro lines than ever before, BharatBenz is ready with machines that laugh in the face of heavy loads and muddy trenches.

From rocks to riches, the new HX and Torqshift range aren’t just trucks. They’re your infrastructure wingmen.
